Antbuster Hints III
Marcel Stein, creator of Ant buster has sent me a hint (my translation):
"In the game, heat and cold affect the ants. There is also a combo effect: the thermal shock. This effect works the following way: the more the ant is frozen, more life it will loose when it is hit with fire. Of course it will unfreeze but the Flamethrower effect will be multiplied"
In one of my games I have tried to test a fire/ice combination but I have misplaced the towers and the ants beat me very fast.... Anyway, thanks for the hint Marcel!

Antbuster Hints II
Here is my favourites Antbuster strategies, one of the best defend the tower online games:
- I usually put my cannons around the anthill so they can hit the ants twice (going to the cake and coming back). Besides, it's were the ants converge to/diverge from;
- start with two rapid-fire cannons that can hit more than one ant at a time (Triple Cannons and Sprays);
- put one or two missile cannons as soon as possible: they do a lot of damage, have a huge range and always hit the target;
- later, put some ice cannons so the whole area around the anthill is in range: the cannons make the ants slower allowing your other cannons to kill the stronger ants;
- upgrade the cannons;
- put more missiles;
- don't worry if one or two pieces of cake are stolen: you only need one;
- when only one cake is left, always target the ant carrying the cake and change all your cannons (beside the ice cannons) to missiles.
More about the cannons:
Fire: do a lot of damage but have limited range and make ants go faster;
Spray: hit a lot of ants at the same time but the damage is not very high;
Laser and Sniper Cannons: great range, damage and accuracy.

Antbuster Hints I
I have found out that the designer of Antbuster is brazilian and already got many prizes. Cool!
When I was playing this game I would always get confused when upgrading my cannons and ended up losing a lot of precious resources. I have done a little list of possible upgrades in the game. The numbers refers to the choice of upgrade in each level of upgrade. I have only put the choices up to the third levels of upgrades.

Antbuster
If you ever had problems with ants in a BBQ, this game is for you!
Antbuster is the best "Tower Defense" game I have played. It's so addictive that I have played it for days and days. the best part is that you don't need to pay full attention to it so you can do some 'work' whilst playing the game.
The idea is the same as all the games in the genre: don't let the enemies to get to your base. This time your enemies are ants that are trying to take your cake (hey, let my cake alone!). Choose where you are going to put your wepons and how to update it.
Estimated procrastination time: a few minutes to hours!
